15th July 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: 20-25 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 27.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 19.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) A lovely flat water session on the seafront with Impi. Nicely powered with the 5m although a little more power wouldn't have gone amiss. Impi was on his 5.7m and although I could keep up in the gusts off the wind I had no chance when heading even slightly upwind and would loose him as soon as there was a lull. Managed a top speed of 25.8 knots then had a quick go on Impi's kit and upped it to 26.7 knots. Back on my kit and I finally managed a run at 27.9 knots, still not fast enough!! Nice sunny weather and blue seas, perfect. My chest still hurts though. |
